Global revolution: protests in 1,000+ cities — in videos

Post image for Global revolution: protests in 1,000+ cities — in videos

Millions of people took to the streets of over 1,000 cities across the world yesterday to protest against corporate greed and for a real global democracy.

Please share videos from your city in the comments below! Note that if you are reading this post in your inbox or RSS feed, you will have to visit our website to be able to see the embedded YouTube videos.

Compiling this incredible list of videos was probably the single most exciting thing we’ve done since we started ROAR. When we set up the blog in August last year, we knew something was in the air but we never even dared to expect anything like this. Just 10 months after Tunis and Tahrir, this weekend we witnessed the globalization of the resistance: millions of people in 1,000 cities in over 80 countries on 6 continents uniting for global change. Brothers and sisters, we are making history. And we’re only just getting started!

It has just started. People of all lands, rise up!
Dear world, the last saturday we did history.

Forgive my little english :P

why don’t we choose a date and make a huge manifestation every month to keep the movement evoluting, let’s say every 15?

Here’s my friend’s video and pictures from our occupation and march here in Dallas, Texas on Saturday (he said 10/16 but it really was 10/15).

See also my Facebook group “Occupy Ballots” where the goal is to get energetic, dedicated, committed candidates from the Occupy/99% movement declared as candidates for legislative positions on the Nov 2012 ballots.

Also, you really need to add a link on your website to make it easier to share it on Google+ …! … a lot of us have moved there from Facebook.

In the first video(RussiaToday), when the spanish boy and girl speak (min 10:39), THE TRANSLATION IS ABSOLUTELY FALSE! NO SINGLE WORD!
GIRL: so we are supporting the movement that began May15th, wich have had continued, in some cities stronger, in others less stronger, but anyway, the most important is that the basement built the 15thMay continues and I think that this demonst…
BOY: First of all, we’re here, as the slogan of the demonstration says: movement for a global and necessary change, and from the base upwards, to create a plural society

The spanish TV tried to manipulate our movement since the very first days, five months ago, and is something that the worldwide massmedia are going to do too.
There’s also another misinformation: RussiaToday talks about the 15Oct global movement day as a product of the US OccupyWalStreet, but actualy the work to organize the 15Oct began about 5 months ago, in the early days of june, in Spain and other points of Europe, but you know, NewYork is better as a TV symbol…
You can check the proceedings of the assemblies of those days at if you want
Salud y Revolución!!!

So far the governments and the 1% keep saying they don’t understand the message. They don’t get it. They expect like one demand or a list of demands. They don’t realize we want them all out and the sooner the better.

OK…… There is finally a global revolt against corporate greed. Many of the local media stations, and you know who they are….. will say what are these people protesting and then catagorize them as dirty and lazy ungratefull people.

Here is what we all need to watch to see how this greed has manifested itself in the United States…..Wall Street Criminals who have abandoned all ethics, and committed financial crimes that have literally effected the whole global econommy . It is called, “The House Of Cards”. It is a video of, Who, What, When, Why, and How. Want to see it? Good! Then go to your computer and type in…. “The House Of Cards”, Those of you who are just frustrated because you can’t sustain your life because of the Corporate Greed, and the out sourcing our manufacturing, once you have seen this video. you will really know why you are doing what you are doing. You will want to share it with others because you will feel it is your duty…..and you will be correct. Don’t just take my word for it, I don’t want anyone to take my word for it….. I want you to decide on just how ugly the story is, and why we as a people have lost our faith in polititians and they people who control our polititians….. Corporate America!
