For over 100 days now, the students of Québec have been on strike in protest against rising tuition fees. This stunning video is rightly going viral.
Protest in Montréal against the rise of tuition fees in Québec and the new law 78. Every evening at 8pm, people meet in the street with their pots and pans and make all the noise they can.

Wrong!
These protest have nothing to do with the students or the strike (not directly at least). It’s merely a response to the draconian Bill 78 from the government to limit the demonstrations. It’s citizens from all layers of Québec society that take the streets now to show their disobedience to this law. A lot of students are among them, but I’ve seen parents with kids (from toddler to teenager), senior citizens, business people in suits, etc. encouraging this form of protest. It’s no longer -just- about tuition hikes, it’s about showing the rejection of the current government.
