Manos Cizek

Manos Čížek is a Greek actor, writer and award-winning film director known for Red City (2012), The Winter (2013) and The Penal Colony (2017). He lives in Athens, Greece.

Čížek is the editor of the anthology Heroic Girls (Akyvernites Polities), a collection of feminist elegies by the late poet Maria Tataraki. His debut feature film, Red City, premiered at the 53rd Thessaloniki International Film Festival and his short film, The Penal Colony, won the Best Director award at the Sydney Indie Film Festival 2017.

He has performed on stage at theaters across Greece, at Hofstra University, the American Theater of Actors, The Workshop Theater and the Manhattan Repertory Theater in New York.
