- ROAR Magazine
- February 4, 2018
After the great success of ROAR’s first year in print, we have decided to release another four print issues in 2017, before going back to online publishing in 2018.
Last year was a very exciting one for ROAR. After launching our new website, 2016 saw the release of our first four print issues on the revival of the commune, the future of work, the rule of finance and the state of control.
These print issues have been a great success. With almost 4,500 copies distributed to some 50 countries, we are happy to say that the magazine is now not only widely read but also financially self-sustaining — even if Joris Leverink and I, as full-time ROAR editors, continue to work on the project as volunteers.
Given this widespread interest in the print magazine, which has greatly exceeded our expectations, we have decided to continue one more year and release another four print issues in 2017:
- On anti-fascism and the rise of the far right;
- On urban struggles and the new municipalism;
- On rural, indigenous and ecological struggles;
- And finally on a world beyond capitalism.
These will be our last four print issues, so don’t miss them! Subscribe now or renew your subscription by logging in on the website and checking the subscription renewal order status in your personal account area.
(Please note: if you already have a subscription and paid via PayPal, your subscription will be automatically renewed. If you paid via credit card, you will need to renew your subscription manually in your personal account area to continue receiving our issues in 2017. If you require any help with that, you can always email us at email@example.com.)
From 2018 onwards, we’ll be returning to our roots as an online guerrilla publication. Winding down the print version after Issue #8 should free up some much-needed time for other projects, like commissioning fresh content for the website, publishing regular digital issues, and writing our own books.
We have many exciting ideas on how to continue ROAR’s growth and evolution from 2018 onwards. But before that, we’ll have four more beautifully designed print issues to share with you on some of the most important challenges facing the movements in 2017. We promise to make them our best yet. Sign up now to receive all four of them!
